Ngepi Camp

Built on an island in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta pan-handle in the Caprivi Strip of Namibia. Ngepi Camp offers private and overland campsites with all facilities & stunning en suite tree-houses where your feet are ‘in’ nature—on the river. Unique ‘floating swimming’ pool in the river, Mokoro safaris, boat cruises, fishing, bird/village walks, game drives, bushman art trip, visits to Popa Falls, lawn & shade.

Ngepi Camp offers the best value for money Okavango Delta swamp ‘Mokoro’ safari—in Namibia. Guided bird and village walks. Fishing boats & guide for hire —catch and release only. Guided Game drives in the National parks, swimming in the unique floating river pool, Frisbee golf, volley ball, ablution tours, sunset cruises, river rafting, environmental projects and much more.

Accommodation

Tree Houses: Most Tree Houses at Ngepi Camp overlook the Kavango River, each of them, a unique experience. They are built around a tree, on a wooden deck with a thatched roof. They have reed walls at the back and roll up blinds in front, giving them a natural feel. What better place to wake up with the Sunrise between your toes? Each Tree House has an en-suite bathroom, sporting an interesting ‘al fresco’ shower. They are equipped with linen, towels and mosquito nets. Most of our Tree Houses have a braai area, but are not equipped for self-catering. There is a choice between a Twin, Double, Triple or Family Tree House.

Bush Huts: Ngepi Camp’s Bush Huts are rustic, thatched huts consisting of two half-walled rooms, one double and one twin, and an open-air bathroom at the rear. They are equipped with mosquito nets, linen and towels. Although they do not have a view of the river, each one has a lovely private garden with a braai area. The Bush Huts are not equipped for self-catering.

Camping: Most of the camp sites are along the river’s edge, with a grassed camping area and an adjacent parking space for vehicles, trailers and caravans. Each site has its own 220v AC solar powered electricity point, river water tap and fireplace/braai area. The Bush camp sites at Ngepi Camp are a bit more secluded, with lovely big trees for shade, but they have no river view.
