Mount Etjo Safari Lodge is located in the heart of the Okonjati Game Reserve.
One of the first private Game Reserves established in Namibia and founded by world-renowned conservationist Jan Oelofse.
Home to over 8000 animals and a impressive variety of bird species the Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary is a true Conservation Area, this historic lodge deservedly carries the name “Etjo”, meaning place of refuge. Mount Etjo Safari Lodge is where the most important Declaration towards Namibia’s Independence was signed in 1989 (The Mount Etjo Declaration).
Dinner is served in our beautiful traditional African lapa around camp fire, with a glimpse of the night sky. Enjoy a complimentary selection of home-baked cakes with tea and coffee underneath the shady trees of the beautiful Mount Etjo gardens, from 14h00-16h00
Whether you relax at the swimming pool, at the bar, the lounge or in the beautiful Mount Etjo Gardens, you will find that the beautiful scenery will leave you feeling rejuvenated! The waterhole is situated right in front of the lodge, allowing for all-day game viewing experience.
