Mokolodi Nature Reserve

The creation of the Mokolodi Wildlife Foundation lead to the establishment of the Mokolodi Nature Reserve in 1994 on 3,700 hectares of donated bushveld land that had previously been utilised for cattle farming. The Reserve is now home to a wide variety of animals and plants that are endemic to south-eastern Botswana, some of which are extremely rare or endangered.
Since its creation, Mokolodi Nature Reserve and its programmes have grown significantly.

In order to sustain the conservation efforts of the Nature Reserve and the educational pursuits of the Mokolodi Educational Centre, Mokolodi offers fee-based tourism activities (including game drives, rhino tracking and conferencing, as well as great accommodation).

Accommodation

Chalets

• 2 x Single Room/Small Chalet (maximum 2 adults and 1 child)
  3 x Double Room/Standard Family Chalet (maximum 4 adults and 4 children)
• The chalets are equipped with crockery, cutlery, linen and braai area with grid. In addition, the chalets have electricity and include items such as a kettle, electric hot water geyser, fan, gas stove and fridge.
• Each chalet has its own private outside seating area and fire place (firewood is available to purchase at reception).
• Kindly note that all of the chalets are self-catering and guests should please bring their own food and drinks.

Campsites

• 5 Campsites which are completely self-catering, guests must please bring their own food, drinks and camping equipment.
• Each campsite has its own flush toilet, “donkey boiler” heated outdoor shower, braai area with grid, dustbin and a washbasin. Firewood is available to purchase at reception.
