Khwai Safari Grounds
Khwai Safari Grounds is located in Khwai concession along Savuti road. In case you missed to grab a campsite inside Moremi game reserve, either at Xakanaxa or 3rd Bridge. Just relax because the newly established campsite in one of Botswana’s best concession on the edge of Khwai river, just a stone throw into Moremi game reserve Khwai North gate.
The Khwai Concession is mainly located on the banks of the Khwai River, spread across 180,000 hectares of land. With the river being the only source of water for miles, it acts like a magnet for wildlife, all of which are drawn to drink from it, making terrific game viewing.
The Khwai Concession is a large area dominated by mopane forests. The area is also made up of sweeping grasslands and floodplains. The floodplains are flooded most of the year and there are lagoons covered in blue and white water lilies. The riverine woodland also consists of camel thorn, knob thorn, apple leaf and great stands of Leadwood trees.
We have 6 public sites and 2 private sites. We also have public ablutions (showers and toilets) and please note that we also have fire wood available at the site but it’s for sale.
