Khorixas Rest Camp
Khorixas Camp is located in the hills of Damaraland in the Kunene region. This area is known as an explorer’s paradise for its fascinating geological formations, Petrified Forest, ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, and the Welwitschia mirabilis plants.
Khorixas Camp is strategically located near all of these must-sees in Damaraland, which makes it, an ideal stopover for those travelling from Etosha to Skeleton National Park, and vice versa. The camp offers chalets, single rooms, and camping sites to accommodate various types of travellers.
Accommodation
- 14 Campsites with Maximum of 8 Pax – Ablution blocks with kitchen area (no field kitchen) NB of these only 9 are on a lawn and have braai facilities.
- 10 Single Rooms – Bathroom with shower. One single bed and mirror with a table, built in cupboards, a tea station and no fridge. Air Conditioning
- 26 2 Bed Bush Chalets – There are two types available. Chalet numbers 1 to 19 are large and more spacious. Of these chalets, numbers 11, 13, 15, 17 & 19 have no braai facilities. Numbers 20 to 26 are smaller and each has a shared braai area for every 2 rooms.
- 2 Family Chalets (4 Beds) – Each family unit has two bedrooms and a self-catering kitchen, equipped with TVs and DStv. Bedrooms have built in cupboards and Air conditioner.
